Yes, they work great! I'm doing this right now. I bought my covers at Walmart for $10. each, and I suggest the zippered pillow covers as well. They're 2 for $3.00. Make sure to tape well over the zipper pulls on the mattresses, as they can get out of that tiny hole. Also, watch for holes in the covers and tape over them if they occur. Leave them on permanently, don't use a bedskirt as they like to live in the creases. Wash all bedding in hot water, and dry in a hot dryer. Don't keep anything under the bed, they like paper, wood, clothing, etc. Vacuum the rug well, throw the bag outside in the trash immed, and steam clean the rug. These things will help greatly. Just keep in mind that this is an ongoing problem. It'll take more than one time with the cleaning, but it will eventually stop them without having to throw out the bed.

As long as the mattress is completely covered and zipped good, yes. A bug could not get in it. If you have a box spring, it needs to be covered too.

Yes they will keep out bed bugs as well as dust mites. They have to be on the box spring as well.

Contact a professional carpet cleaning company. They will neutralize the pH of the fabric, ridding you of the stain. The sources below have directories to professional companies all over the United States.

In order for the memory foam to work it needs to be on the up side. Memory foam usually also keeps you cool when you sleep so the ventilation issue doesn't matter.

Hello padmalotusflower,

It really depends on how thick your current mattress is and how thick the mattress topper is. If you go above 15 inches you will need deeper pocket sheets. If you go above 18 inches you will need extra deep or super deep pocket sheets. But yes, there are oversize sheets made to fit really thick mattresses, even with a topper on it.
