The pillow protectors cover the entire pillow and the terry cloth outside is actually soft and pleasant enough to sleep on. High quality and a good investment for my more expensive pillows. When I got these I tested it and it is ACTUALLY waterproof. The pillow protectors cover the entire pillow and the terry cloth outside is actually soft and pleasant enough to sleep on. High quality and a good investment for my more expensive pillows.

Otherwise, it billows like a balloon up whenever I put my head on it, and then the air slowly seeps out the zipper. And this happens whenever I shift my position. It has a rubberized inner coating to make it waterproof, and that also makes it very hot. I've been waking up with my face and neck soaked in perspiration, and it's been quite cold outside. It isn't all that noisy compared to some waterproof pillow protectors, but cotton with a waterproof treatment is quieter.
